FAQ

Welcome to the FAQ section of Rogue Auto Body! Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive. If you have further inquiries, feel free to contact us directly.

Do I need an appointment for an estimate?

No, but by calling and scheduling an appointment, we can minimize your wait time.

What is paintless dent removal (PDR)?

Paintless dent removal (PDR) is the process of removing dents, dings, creases, and hail damage from vehicles without affecting the original paint finish. PDR is faster and more cost-effective than traditional repair methods.

How do I set up an insurance claim?

Start by contacting your insurance company to report the accident and inform them that Rogue Auto Body will handle the repairs. Then, reach out to us directly. Our customer service representatives will guide you through the process. As a direct repair facility for most insurance companies, we make the claims process simple and convenient.

How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?

Repair times vary depending on the extent of the damage. Once we provide a detailed written estimate, we will keep you informed throughout the repair process. If hidden damage is discovered after disassembly, the completion date may be adjusted, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Are there precautions I should follow on a newly painted vehicle?

  • Avoid parking under trees or utility lines to prevent damage from bird droppings or tree sap.
  • Do not scrape ice or snow from the painted surface to avoid scratches.
  • Avoid spilling gasoline, oil, antifreeze, or windshield solvent on the new finish.
  • Refrain from “dry wiping” the surface as it can scratch the paint.

How will I know when my car’s repairs are finished?

We will notify you using your preferred method of communication as soon as your vehicle is ready for pickup.

What is subrogation?

Subrogation occurs when your insurance company pays for the repairs to your vehicle and then seeks reimbursement from another insurer or responsible party. You may need to pay your deductible upfront, which could be refunded once the other party compensates your insurer.

Who do I pay my deductible to?

Your deductible is paid directly to Rogue Auto Body at the time of vehicle pickup.

What does it mean if my vehicle is deemed a total loss or ‘totaled’?

This means the cost to repair your vehicle exceeds its actual cash value (ACV) before the accident. If you believe the ACV offered by the insurance company is too low, you can provide documentation or expert opinions to dispute the valuation.

Who determines the ACV of my vehicle, and is it negotiable?

An appraiser from your insurance company determines the ACV based on the vehicle’s pre-accident condition. The value can sometimes be negotiated with proper documentation.

What happens if my vehicle is deemed a total loss?

You can choose to retain ownership of the vehicle, though the settlement amount may be reduced by the salvage value. If you opt not to retain it, the insurance company will sell it to the highest bidder.

Is there a warranty for the repairs to my car?

Yes! All repairs completed by Rogue Auto Body are backed by a LIFETIME Warranty on parts and labor. See our Warranty Page
